Cambridge is an historic university city in the east of London. It has good transport links to the rest of the UK and beyond and benefits from being only 50 miles from London. It is of course most notable for being the home of the University of Cambridge and many great scholars and notable figures of both our time, and many years before, have been educated in the city. The university remains at the top of the league tables in the UK and among the most prestigious in the world. Cambridge has a varied ethnic population for a relatively small city and this is due, in part, to the large number of international students that travel to the city to study at the university.
